Man Charged with Driving 40mph Over Limit

July 22: Gerald Roa (38) of the 3500 block of W. Palmer, Chicago was arrested and charged with fleeing and eluding, improper lane usage, speeding and driving while license revoked after being stopped by police in the 300 block of Seven Pines Circle, Highland Park.  Roa was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of August 14, 2013 at 301 Greenleaf Street, Park City.

Possession of cannabis

July 23: John Burgos (30) of the 6100 block of S. Meade, Chicago was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after police responded to a report of suspicious activity near the intersection of Hyacinth Place and University Avenue, Highland Park.  Burgos was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of August 28, 2013 at 301 Greenleaf Street, Park City.

Driving under the influence

July 24: Brett Hetrick (34) of the 300 block of Hamilton, Evanston was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and cell phone usage while driving after being stopped by police in the 900 block of Central Avenue, Highland Park.  Hetrick was released on a cash bond with a court date of August 16, 2013 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

July 25: Douglas Warnock (31) of the 1500 block of W. Kennedy, Lake Forest was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, open transportation of alcohol, uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage, no valid drivers license and no headlights illuminated after being stopped by police in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park.  Warnock was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of August 16, 2013 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois. 

July 28: Gustavo Benavides (24) of the 1700 Dickinson Street, Waukegan was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis, driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, open transportation of alcohol and speeding after being stopped by police in the 3300 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park.  Benavides was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of August 16, 2013 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

July 28: Vasilios Vassilopoulos (38) of the 7800 block of 33rd Avenue, Kenosha, Wisconsin was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and speeding after being stopped by police in the 1400 block of Park Avenue West, Highland Park.  Vassilopoulos was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of September 6, 2013 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

July 28: Rojas Castrejon (33) of the 900 block of Deerfield Road, Highland Park was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, no valid drivers license, no rear registration lamp illuminated and unsafe equipment after being stopped by police in the 1400 block of Oakwood Avenue, Highland Park.  Castrejon was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of August 23, 2013 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Domestic battery

July 26: Stewart Levin (66) of the 1400 block of Avignon Court, Highland Park was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic battery after police responded to a third party call of a dispute in the 1400 block of Avignon Court, Highland Park.  Levin was transported to bond court at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan pending court date. 

Speeding

July 27: Michael Samano (27) of the 4200 block of Harwood, South Euclid, Ohio was arrested and charged with speeding 40 mph over the limit after being stopped by police in the 1600 block of Deerfield Road, Highland Park.  Samano was released on a cash bond with a court date of August 28, 2013 at 301 Greenleaf Avenue, Park City, Illinois.
