Man Refuses To Pay for Food at Taste, Gets Arrested

The following arrest information was supplied by the Highland Park Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Retail Theft 

Jeffrey Schwartz, 55, of Highland Park was arrested Saturday for retail theft after police responded to a report of a dispute and a refusal to pay for food during the Taste of Highland Park, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court on Sept. 25 in Park City. 

DUI

Craig Magnus, 55, of Deerfield was arrested Sunday for driving under the influence, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, a headlight violation and an improper u-turn, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was stopped in the 1800 block of St. Johns Avenue , released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court Oct. 4 in Waukegan.

Richard Boyd, 34, of Chicago was arrested August 20 for driving with a suspended license after police stopped him near the intersection of St. Johns Avenue and Park Avenue West, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at Sept. 25 in Park City. 

Larry West, 29, of Chicago was arrested Sunday for driving while license suspended and speeding after being stopped by police in the 2500 block of Skokie Valley Road, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court Sept. 11 in Park City.
