Petty Thefts: Appliances Walk, Mislaid Wallet, Stolen Gas

Highland Park thefts reported between Jan. 31 through Feb. 8.

The following theft information was provided by the Highland Park Police Department.

Stolen Mac

Police are investigating a report of a theft which occurred sometime before 8:01 a.m. Feb. 5. A Mac notebook computer was taken overnight from a residence located in the 1300 block of Deerfield Road.


Gas and Go

Police are investigating a report of a theft where an unknown subject in a black Chevrolet sedan drove off without paying for $31.75 worth of gasoline around 2:29 a.m. Feb. 6. The incident occurred in the 0-100 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park, Illinois.

Appliances Walk

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft which occurred sometime between Jan. 31 and Feb. 3. An LG washer and dryer were removed from a home being remodeled. The incident occurred in the 1000 block of Golf Avenue. The theft was discovered around 9:48 a.m. Feb. 6.


Storage Shed Raided

Someone swiped multiple power tools from a business in the 1600 block of Old Skokie Road sometime before 10:48 a.m. Feb. 7. Police said the thieves cut off the locking bar, then helped themselves to a tool box containing hand tools.

Mislaid Wallet

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft where a brown Mark Jacobs wallet containing miscellaneous gift cards, a drivers license and two debit cards was accidentally left behind at a business in the 1200 block of Park Avenue West around 3:52 p.m. Feb. 8.  Upon returning to the business, the wallet was not located nor turned in.
