Police Arrest Man for Forgery

The following arrest information was supplied by the Highland Park Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Forgery

Richard Whitney, Jr., 38, of Winthrop Harbor was arrested August 19 for forgery after trying to pass a personal check with a forged signature at a Highland Park business, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court Sept. 25 in Park City.

DUI

Victor Garza Jr., 22, of Waukegan was arrested August 20 for driving under the influence, improper lane usage and speeding in the 1700 block of Skokie Valley Road, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court Sept. 13 in Waukegan.

Theft

Police are investigating the theft of a sterling silver bracelet approximately two months ago in the 200 block of Red Oak Lane. It is unknown whether the item was lost or stolen.

Driver’s License Infractions and More

Israel Gutierrez, 36, of Waukegan was arrested August 21 for driving while license suspended, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding after he was stopped in the 2600 block of Skokie Valley Road, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court Sept. 11 in Park City.
