Police Blotter: 3 Burglaries on the Same Block
Last week, three houses were burgled on the same block.
The following items are taken from the Highland Park Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Burglary
On Nov. 8, around 8 p.m., police investigated a report of burglary of cash and jewelery from the the 600 block of Onwentsia Avenue. Later that day, around 10 p.m., police investigated a report of burglary of watches, jewlery and cash sometime between 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m in that same block.

On Nov. 13, around 11:02 a.m., police investigated a third report of burglary of jewelry sometime between Nov. 7 and Nov. 12, again at the 600 block of Onwentsia Avenue.

On Nov. 11, around 2:27 p.m., 24-year-old Hugo Herrera was arrested and charged with burglary to a motor vehicle and not having a valid driver's license after being stopped by police in the 600 block of Laurel Avenue. He was transponded to bond court on Nov. 12.
