Police Blotter: 6 DUI Arrests 5 Days

Also cannabis possession and theft in this week's police report.

The following items are taken from the Highland Park Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Theft

Santo John Serra, 37, of the 1600 block of Hickory Street in Highland Park, was arrested and charged with theft in the 1400 block of Park Avenue in Highland Park.  He was transported to the Lake County Jail.

Police are investigating the delayed report of a theft--money and jewelry--between March and December in the 700 block of Deerfield Road in Highland Park.

Police are investigating the report of a cell phone theft about 3:30 p.m. on March 2 in the 900 block of North Avenue in Highland Park.

Driving while license revoked

Rhason W. King, 24, of the 6400 block of North Sheridan Road in Chicago was arrested and charged with driving while license revoked, operating uninsured motor vehicle, illegal transportation of alcohol and speeding. Police stopped his vehicle at Skokie Valley Road and Chantilly Boulevard in Highland Park.  King was released on bond, and has a court date of April 13.

Octavio N. Rodriguez, 29, of the 4800 block of West Drummond Place in Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and speeding in the 1900 block of Skokie Valley Road in Highland Park. He was released on bond, and has a court date of April 9.

Driving under the influence

Michael W. Bishop, 48, of the 100 block of Grenadier Court in Lincolnshire, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and speeding after police stopped his vehicle in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road in Highland Park.  He was released on bond, and has a court date of March 25.

Erika M. Goliday, 23, of the 200 block of Julian Street in Waukegan, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and impeding traffic after  police stopped her vehicle at Central and St. Johns avenues in Highland Park.  She was released on a bond, and has a court date of March 25.

William Shaffer, 55, of the 4900 block of Chambers Drive in Hoffman Estates, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, possession of cannabis and U-turn traffic violation after police pulled over his vehicle in the 2000 block of St. Johns Avenue in Highland Park.  He was released on bond, and has a court date of March 25.

Jefry E. Montoya-Rios, 20, of the 2300 block of Skokie Valley Road in Highland Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and driving without a valid license. Police stopped his vehicle in the 2300 block of Skokie Valley Road in Highland Park.  He was released on bond, and has a court date of April 8.

Tanner R. Schneider, 21, of the 200 block of East Walworth Avenue in Delavan, WI, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and open transportation of alcohol after his vehicle was pulled over by police in the 3300 block of Skokie Valley Road in Highland Park. He was released on bond, and has a court date of April 8.

Juanito Santiago-Ocampo, 31, of the 500 block of Sheridan Road in Highwood, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, open transportation of alcohol, operating a vehicle with a suspended driver's license and improper lane usage. Police stopped his vehicle in the 100 block of Edens Expressway in Highland Park.  He was released on bond.

Possession of cannabis

Kristin N. Wismer, 18, of the 700 block of Castlewood in Deerfield, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after she was stopped by the police at Ridge Road and Keats Lane in Highland Park.  She was released on bond, and has a court date of April 13.

Criminal damage

Police are investigating the report of criminal damage to property in the 500 block of Onwentsia Avenue in Highland Park.
