Police Blotter: Auto Break-ins Hit Princeton Avenue

Six driving with license suspended are reported in Thursday's police blotter.

The Highland Park Police Department provided the following reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Burglary

Police are investigating a burglary from motor vehicle in which an iPod, and cash were stolen overnight in the 1000 block of Andean Place, Highland Park.

Police are investigating an auto burglary that occurred overnight in the 1000 block of Princeton Avenue, Highland Park.

Driving while license suspended

Ascension Aldana, 28, of the 900 block of 8th Street in Waukegan, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license, having no registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. His vehicle was stopped by the police in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park. He was released on bond, and has a court date of Aug. 24.

Fernando Aguilar-Pineda, 32, of the 3000 block of West 8th Street in Waukegan, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license, driving uninsured motor vehicle and having a suspended registration. Police stopped his vehicle in the 1700 block of St. Johns Avenue, Highland Park. He was released on a bond, and has a court date of Aug. 24.

Michael D. Skupin, 49, of the 2700 block of Wabum Road in White Lake, MI, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license and failure to reduce speed after his vehicle was stopped by the police in the 3000 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland ParkHe was released on a bond, and has a court date of Aug. 24.

Devorah R. Zion, 28, of the 6000 block of North Bell Avenue in Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license. Police stopped his vehicle in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park. She was released on bond, and has a court date of Sept. 28.

Tamara Young-King, 37, of the 8000 block of Hickory Avenue in Gary, IN, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license and improper lane usage after her vehicle was stopped by the police in the 1500 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland ParkShe was released on bond, and has a court date of Aug. 24.

Josef E. McDermott, 20, of the 800 block of Grove Avenue in Waukegan, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license and speeding. His vehicle was stopped by the police in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland ParkHe was released on bond, and has a court date of Aug. 24.
