Aggravated identity theft

Roxana Dusanek, 50, of the 1600 block of Camberley Court, Bartlett, was arrested and charged with aggravated identity theft, theft over $500 and credit card fraud after police investigated the initial report of an employee theft from a business in the 200 block of Prospect Avenue, Highland Park. Dusanek was transported to bond court at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois pending court date.

Theft over $500

Jacob Lynn, 17, of the 3000 block of Parkside Drive, Highland Park, and another juvenile subject were arrested and charged with theft over $500 and possession of drug paraphernalia after police investigated multiple reports of theft that had occurred in the 400 block of Vine Avenue, Highland Park. Lynn was transported to bond court at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois pending court date.

Theft

An unknown person(s) removed a credit card from a purse under a desk at a school located in the 100 block of Pierce Road, Highland Park on Nov. 13. The card was found to have been used at 3 businesses, all in Highland Park.

An unknown person(s) removed two metal mesh chairs and a 36 inch metal mesh table from a business in the 600 block of Central Avenue, Highland Park sometime after the parade.

Criminal damage to property

Police are investigating a report of damage to the bridge overlooking Lake Michigan just north of Chatfield and Normandy Street, Highland Park. The metal fencing appeared kicked out and the wood posts were damaged. The incident occurred sometime between Friday afternoon Nov. 12 and Tuesday morning Nov. 13.

Police are investigating a delayed report of damage to a 2004 Chevy cargo van overnight on Saturday Nov. 10. An unknown subject punctured the drivers side front tire with an unknown object. The incident occurred in the 900 block of North Avenue, Highland Park.

Driving under the influence

Robert Schmidt, 64, of the 4100 block of Yorkshire Lane, Northbrook, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and uninsured motor vehicle after being stopped by police near the intersection of Central Avenue and Beverly Place, Highland Park. Schmidt was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of December 7, 2012 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Whitney Sanders, 26, of the 1100 block of Oak Grove Lane, Lake Forest, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after police responded to a complaint of suspicious activity in the 700 block of Central Avenue, Highland Park. Sanders was released on a cash bond with a court date of December 28, 2012 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Daniel Arenas-Hernandez, 26, of the 700 block of Central Avenue, Highland Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, uninsured motor vehicle, failure to wear seatbelt, driving while license suspended and speeding after being stopped by police near the intersection of Trillium Lane and Michigan Avenue, Highland Park. Arenas-Hernandez was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of January 18, 2013 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Dorsey Christian, III, 36, of the 3500 block of Atlantic Avenue, Gurnee was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and suspended registration after being stopped by police in the 3300 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park. Christian was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of December 12, 2012 at 301 Greenleaf Street, Park City.

Burglary from motor vehicle

Police are investigating a report of burglary to two landscape trailers. The trailers were forcibly entered (locks cut off) sometime between 5 p.m. on Nov. 14 and 7 a.m. on Nov. 15. Two Echo gas trimmers and one Red Max gas back pack style blower were stolen from one trailer and 3 Echo back pack style gas blowers, 1 Echo chain saw and 2 Echo gas trimmers were stolen from the other trailer. Unknown suspects cut a chain link fence to gain access to the trailers. The incident occurred in the 1600 block of Old Skokie Road, Highland Park.
