Police Blotter: Harassing Text Messages

Theft

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft. It was reported that unknown persons stole an older model Schwinn girls 3 speed brown/white bicycle from a bicycle rack located in the 1800 block of Sheridan Road, Highland Park, Illinois sometime on June 15, 2012.

Police are investigating a report of a theft. It was reported that unknown persons stole a wallet from a purse between 2 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. on June 21. The wallet contained cash, Drivers License, misc. insurance/health cards and approximately 5 credit cards. The incident occurred in the 400 block of Laurel Avenue, Highland Park, Illinois.

Police are investigating a report of a theft. It was reported that between 2 and 2:30 p.m. on reported date a set of keys were set down on a desk and left unattended. Upon return, the keys were found missing. It appears the keys were used to remove a change cup from a vehicle along with a set of keys for a rental property.  The incident occurred in the 400 block of Laurel Avenue, Highland Park, Illinois.

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft. It was reported that a light brown wallet containing cash, drivers license, credit card, and medicare card was taken on June 19, 2012 by an unknown subject while it was left unattended. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of Fredricksons Place, Highland Park, Illinois.

Assault

Abigail Budden, 37, of the 500 block of Hill Street, Highland Park, Illinois, was arrested and charged with assault and disorderly conduct after police investigated a report of a dispute and harassing text messages in the 500 block of Hill Street, Highland Park. Budden was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of July 11, 2012 at 301 Greenleaf Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Driving under the influence

Rexford Wright, 31, of the 1000 block of S. Waveland Road, Lake Forest, Illinois, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, improper lane usage, battery, aggravated battery to a police officer, no registration lamps and resisting a police officer after being stopped by police near the intersection of Chicago Avenue and Green Bay Road, Highland Park. Wright was transported to bond court at 18 North County Street, Waukegan, Illinois pending court date.

Javier Cooper, 21, of the 500 Block of Rosedale Avenue, Park City, Illinois, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, disobey traffic control device, uninsured motor vehicle, improper display of registration and speeding after being stopped by police in the 2600 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park. Cooper was released on a cash bond with a court date of July 27, 2012 at 18 North County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Guillermina Haro, 41, of the 3900 block of Cambridge Drive, Park City, Illinois, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane usage after being stopped by police near the intersection of Parkside Drive and Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park. Haro was released on a personal recognizance bond (court date unknown at this time) at 18 North County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Daniel Storey, 28, of the 0-100 block of Skokie Valley Road, Lake Bluff, Illinois, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, possession of cannabis, possession of drug Paraphernalia, improper lane usage and speeding after being stopped by police in the 0-10 block of the Edens Expressway, Highland Park. Storey was released on a cash bond with a court date of July 27, 2012 at 18 North County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Consumption of alcohol by minor

Anne Gressens, 20, of the 300 block of Prospect, Lake Bluff, Illinois, was cited with consumption of alcohol by minor after the vehicle Gressens was a passenger in was stopped by police in the 3300 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park. Gressens was cited to Administrative Court at City Hall, 1707 St. Johns Avenue, Highland Park and is expected in court on July 19, 2012.
