Police Blotter: Retail Theft and Burglary

Stolen cash and wallet in Tuesday's blotter.

The following items are taken from the Highland Park Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Retail theft

Roberto Trujillo, 61, of the 2500 block of Waukegan Avenue in Highland Park, was arrested and charged with retail theft after police were called to the 600 block of Elm Place, Highland Park.  He was released on bond with a court date of June 22.

Theft under $500

Police are investigating the reported theft of a wallet between 9 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. May 22 in the 700 block of Central Avenue, Highland Park.

Burglary

Police are investigating the reported burglary in which cash was taken between 6 p.m. May 20 and 6 a.m. May 21 in the 500 block of Elm Place, Highland Park.

Police are investigating a burglary in the 600 block of Elm Place, Highland Park. Cash, a laptop and eyeglasses were reported stolen.
