Police Blotter: Retail Theft, Stolen iPhone

Also spray painted property in Thursday's police report.

The following items are taken from the Highland Park Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Burglary

Police are investigating an auto burglary in which a bag with an iPhone, Blackberry, glasses, checkbook and identification were stolen at 7:15 a.m. in the 1900 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park.

Criminal damage to property

Police are investigating a criminal damage report in which a rock was thrown through a window in the 400 block of Elm Place, Highland Park.

Police are investigating the report of a criminal damage to property in which a building was spray painted in the 600 block of Ridge Road, Highland Park.

Identity theft

Keisha Boler, 29, of the 400 block of 111th Place in Chicago, was arrested and charged with identity theft and fraud in the 500 block of Central Avenue, Highland Park. She was transported to bond court and her court date was pending.

Criminal trespass to property

Phillip Copeland, 38, of the 900 block of Vose Drive in Gurnee, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass to property in the 200 block of St. Johns Avenue, Highland Park. He has an administrative court hearing on Oct. 20 at City Hall.

Driving while license suspended

Joel Patlan, 27, of the 2800 block of Navajo in Waukegan, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license, having no insurance and possession of cannabis. Police stopped his vehicle in the 1000 block of Central Avenue, Highland Park. He was given a court date of Sept. 28.

Marcos Antunez-Villada, 21, of the 800 block of Laurel Avenue in Highland Park, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and improper lane usage after police pulled over his vehicle in the 1200 Block of Green Bay Road, Highland Park. He has a court date of Sept. 28.

Possession of alcohol by minor

Luke DeJoy, 19, of the 1000 block of East Thomas Street in Arlington Heights, was arrested and charged with possession of alcohol by minor in the 200 block of St. Johns Avenue, Highland Park. DeJoy has an administrative court hearing on Sept. 15.
