POLICE BLOTTER: Ride 'n Dash, Swiped Gift Cards

The following arrest information was supplied by the Highland Park Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Driving While License Suspended

Alexandra Alldritt, 29, of the 3000 block of N. Sheffield, Chicago was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended. Police responded to a car accident near the intersection of Maple Avenue and Sheridan Road around 10:22 a.m. Jan. 29. Alldritt was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of March 12.

No License, Failure to Reduce Speed

Kevin Gruhl, 61, of the 300 Thorold Road, Welland, Ontario Canada was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and failure to reduce speed after police responded to a car accident in the 2700 block of Skokie Valley Road around 10:05 p.m. Jan. 29. Gruhl was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of Feb. 26 in Park City.

Re-Gift

Dominique Allen, 24, of the 2100 block of Honore Avenue, North Chicago was arrested and charged with theft for shoplifting gift cards from her employer in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road. The alleged thefts occurred between Jan. 12 and Jan. 21. Allen was arrested around 2:59 p.m. Jan. 30, and released on a personal recognizance bond. Her next court date is Feb. 24 in Waukegan.

Ride ‘n Dash

Robin Piper, 48, of the 4200 block of Bob-O-Link Terrace, Skokie, was arrested and charged with theft of services for failing to pay cab fare from Skokie to Highland Park around 2:59 p.m. Jan. 30. Piper was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of March 12.

No Headlights Leads to DUI Arrest

Jerreyn Smith, 28, of the 4500 block of Sunset Court, Zion was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and no rear registration lamp illuminated. Police stopped Smith in the 3600 block of Skokie Valley Road, around 3:06 a.m. Feb. 2. Smith’s next court date of March 14 in Waukegan.
