Police Blotter: Stolen Bike, Jewelry

The following items are taken from the Highland Park Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Theft

Police are investigating the theft of a bike with basket between 10 a.m. May 9 and 7 p.m. May 10 in the 100 block of St. Johns Avenue, Highland Park.

Burglary

Police are investigating the burglary (jewelry) sometime between 10:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Lincoln Place, Highland Park.

Driving under the influence

Shannon M. Mazur, 47, of the 6000 block of West Addison Street in Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving with a revoked license and improper lane usage after police stopped her vehicle at Half Day Road and Summit Avenue in Highland Park.  She was transported to bond court.

Cathereine M. Levert, 28, of the 100 block of North Avenue in Highwood, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after her vehicle was stopped by the police at Andean Place and Beverly Place in Highland Park. She was released on bond with a court date of June 24.
