Police Blotter: Stolen Car and Drug Possession

The following items are taken from the Highland Park Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Possession of controlled substance

Jennifer S. Adorjan, 41, of the 1500 block of Cavell Avenue in Highland Park, was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance and driving under the influence of drugs in the 1700 block of St. Johns Avenue in Highland Park. She was transported to bond court.

Driving while license suspended

Gustavo Miranda-Almaraz, 34, of the 2800 block of South Wallace in Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and disobeyed a no turn sign after police stopped his vehicle at Lake Cook Road and Red Oak Lane in Highland Park. He was released on bond with a court date of April 27.

Thomas R. Christor, 26, of the 23100 block of North Cove Road in Grayslake, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and speeding after his vehicle was stopped by police in the 700 block of Skokie Valley Road in Highland Park.  He was released on bond with a court date of April 13.

Mariano H. Sanchez, 36, of the 200 block of High Street in Highwood, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, having no registration and not using a seatbelt for a child younger than 8. His vehicle was stopped by the police at Homewood Avenue and Green Bay Road in Highland Park.  He was released on bond with a court date of April 27.

Joseph W. Baldridge, 60, of the 900 block of McAlister in Waukegan, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and disobeying traffic signs after he was stopped by the police in the 1300 block of Half Day Road in Highland Park.  He was released on bond with a court date of April 13.

Jose C. Luna, 26, of the 200 block of South Central Avenue in Waukegan, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and speeding after police stopped his vehicle in the 2600 block of Skokie Valley Road in Highland Park.  He was released on bond with a court date of April 27.

Driving while license revoked

Andre T. Teamer, 45, of the 3100 block of 15th Street in North Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving while license revoked and a traffic violation his vehicle was stopped by the police in the 100 block of Edens Expressway in Highland Park.  He was released on bond with a court date of April 27.

David T. Robles, 24, of the 500 block of Skokie Avenue in Highland Park, was arrested and charged with driving while license revoked and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after police stopped his vehicle in the 1300 block of Sheridan Road in Highland Park. He was released on bond with a court date of April 27.

Theft of motor vehicle

Police are investigating the theft of a motor vehicle between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the 2700 block of Skokie Valley Road in Highland Park.

Theft

Police are investigating a theft of a welder between 9 a.m. March 14 and 9 a.m. March 15 in the 1300 block of Park Avenue West in Highland Park.

Police are investigating the theft of an iPhone in the 400 block of Vine Avenue in Highland Park.

Driving under the influence

Jose A. Ayala, 39, of the 1900 block of North Lewis Avenue in Waukegan, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs, driving while license suspended and driving without a tail light. Police stopped his vehicle in the 3400 block of Skokie Valley Road in Highland Park.  He was released on bond with a court date of April 29.

David M. France, 34, of the 5800 block of South Indiana in Chicago was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence, endangering the life of a child, open transportation of alcohol, driving while license revoked and failure to signal. His vehicle was pulled over by the police in the 3200 block of Skokie Valley Road in Highland Park. He was transported to Bond Court.

Divino Gabriel Lopez-Hernandez, 31, of the 2200 block of Central in Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, open transportation of alcohol, driving while license revoked and improper lane usage after police stopped his vehicle at Beverly Place and Harvard Court in Highland Park. He was released on bond with a court date of April 8.

Criminal damage

Police are investigating the criminal damage done to a motor vehicle between 7 p.m. March 14 and 7 a.m. March 15 in the 700 block of College Place in Highland Park.

Burglary to motor vehicle

Police are investigating the delayed report of burglary to a motor vehicle. A Craftsman tool box and tools were reported taken between 7 p.m. March 12 and 9 a.m. March 14 in the 1300 block of Park Avenue West in Highland Park.

Possession of cannabis

Mary Elizabeth Coughenour, 18, of the 1000 block of Fair Oaks Avenue in Deerfield, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis in the 1200 block of Fredricksons Place in Highland Park.  She was released on bond with a court date of April 27.

Illegal purchase of alcohol

Oren M. Schwartz, 19, of the 900 block of Wayne Avenue in Deerfield, was arrested and charged with purchase of alcohol by a minor in the 1800 block of Deerfield Road in Highland Park.  He was released on bond with a court date of April 13.
