Police Blotter: Stolen Computers, Driveway Stakes

Also driving under the influence in this week's police report.

The following items are taken from the Highland Park Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Felony Theft Warrant

Michael J. Mazurek, 24, of 6 Lagoon Drive in Hawthorne Woods, was arrested on a felony theft warrant for an incident reported in March. He was transported to the Lake County Jail.

Theft

Police are investigating the theft of driveway stakes between April 8 and April 11 in the 1700 block of Meadow Lane.

Police are investigating the theft of leaf blower in the 400 block of Green Bay Road.

Police are investigating the theft of a wallet's contents from a motor vehicle in the 1100 block of Sheridan Road.

Police are investigating the theft of two computers between 7:30 p.m. April 16 and 5 a.m. April 17 in the 700 block of Central Avenue.

Driving under the influence

Jerome M. Picchietti, 49, of the 1800 block of Beverly Place, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident. Police stopped his vehicle at Beverly Place and Taylor Avenue. He was released on bond with a court date of May 20.

Driving while license suspended

Molly Murray Riley, 45, of the 300 block of Park Avenue, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and driving with an expired registration after police stopped her vehicle in the 2000 block of St. Johns Avenue. She was released on bond with a court date of May 25.
