Police Blotter: Stolen Golf Clubs and Bag

The following items are taken from the Highland Park Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Driving while license suspended 

Theodis Knox Jr., 55, of the 2700 block of Edina Boulevard in Zion, was arrested and charged with speeding and driving while his license was suspended. Police stopped his vehicle in the 1900 block of Skokie Valley Road. He was released on a bond and has a court hearing March 9.

Jason L. Andersen, 32, of the 1100 block of Park Avenue in Winthrop Harbor, was arrested and charged with speeding and driving while his license was suspended. Police stopped his vehicle in the 1900 block of Skokie Valley Road. He was released on bond and has a March 23 court hearing.

Christopher J. Koenig, 42, of the 3200 block of South Wells Street in Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving while his license was suspended, having no insurance and disobeying stop sign. Police stopped his vehicle at Green Bay Road and Central Avenue. He was released on bond and has March 9 court hearing.

Moises Sanchez, 41, of the 900 block of Deerfield Road in Highland Park, was arrested and charged with driving while his license was suspended and driving with suspended registration. Police stopped his vehicle in the 2500 block of Skokie Valley Road. He was released on a bond and has March 23 court hearing.

Driving under the influence

Andre J. Madison, 29, of the 4200 block of Greenleaf Court in Park City, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and speeding after police stopped his vehicle in the 1900 block of Skokie Valley Road. He was released on bond and has March 4 court hearing.

Jessica N. King, 23, of the 700 block of Springdale Drive in Spartanburg, SC, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and speeding after her vehicle was stopped by the police in the 1600 block of Deerfield Road. She was released on bond and has March 11 court hearing.

Tania L. Lewis, 25, of the 700 block of South Campbell Avenue in Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and operation of an uninsured vehicle after police stopped her vehicle in the 1300 block of Park Avenue West.  She was released on bond and has a court hearing April 1.

Israel Rodriguez-Gil,31, of the 900 block of South Lake Street in Mundelein, was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence, improper lane usage, open transportation of alcohol driver and operation of an uninsured vehicle. Police stopped his vehicle in the 3400 block of Skokie Valley Road. He was taken to the Lake County Jail to await a March 18 court hearing.

Theft

Police are investigating the report of theft of a wallet containing credit cards and cash in the 1800 block of Vine Avenue.

Police are investigating the report of theft of a cell phone between 7:50 a.m. and 2:40 p.m. in the 900 block of North Avenue.

Criminal trespass

Police are investigating the report of criminal trespass between Feb. 1 and Feb. 14  in the 1700 block of Old Deerfield Road.

Burglary

Police are investigating the report of a motor vehicle burglary that occurred between Feb. 7 and Feb. 12 in the 200 block of Cary Avenue.

Police are investigating the report of burglary of golf bag and golf clubs from a home between Oct. 20 and Feb. 3 in the 1500 block of Sherwood Road.
