Driving while license suspended

Joseph Ruzicka, 19, of the 0-10 block of South Chester Avenue, Park Ridge, Ill. was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended, possession of cannabis and speeding after being stopped by police in the 1600 block of Deerfield Road, Highland Park. Ruzicka was released on a cash bond with a court date of April 11, at 301 Greenleaf Street, Park City, Ill.

Burglary

Justin Giles, 32, of the 300 block of Krenz Avenue, Cary, Ill. , three counts of burglary, criminal damage to property and theft after police responded to a burglar alarm in the 1400 block of Waverly Avenue, Highland Park. Giles was transported to bond court at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Ill. and remanded on a $250,000 dollar bond.

Burglary from motor vehicle

Police are investigating the report of a burglary from and unlocked motor vehicle. The unsecured lock boxes on a truck were entered sometime between March 1, and 7:30 a.m. on March 6 while parked in a parking area in the 1100 block of Half Day Road. Taken was approximately $3000 worth of power tools.

Criminal damage to property

Police are investigating a report of a criminal damage to property where unknown subject cut the phone lines to a building in the 500 block of Elm Place sometime between 5 p.m. on March 5 and 10 a.m. on March 6. No entry was gained to this location.

Theft

Police are investigating a report of a theft. It was reported that a black iPhone 4 with a blue case and headphones, one black leather wallet, Gift Cards and a School ID were stolen in the 400 block of Vine Avenue, Highland Park, Ill.

Police are investigating a report of a theft in the 0-55 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park. It was reported that an unknown subject dispensed $51 (12.753 Gal.) in fuel and left the property driving southbound on Skokie Valley Road.

Driving while license suspended

Hugo Beristain-Sanchez, 21, of the 600 block of Walnut Street, Highland Park, Ill. was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and speeding after being stopped by police in the 1300 block of Green Bay Road, Highland Park. Beristain-Sanchez was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of April 11 at 301 Greenleaf Street, Park City, Ill.
