Police Blotter: Stolen iPhone, Six Flag Tickets

The following arrest information was supplied by the Highland Park police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Theft from motor vehicle

Police are investigating a report of a theft from motor vehicle. It was reported that unknown persons entered an unlocked vehicle taking a black leather purse containing sunglasses, four credit cards, drivers license and Six Flags tickets. The incident occurred in the 500 block of Glenview Avenue, Highland Park, Illinois.

Burglary from motor vehicle

Police are investigating a report of a burglary from motor vehicle. It was reported that unknown persons broke the passenger rear window of a work van and stole numerous power and hand tools sometime between 8:30 p.m. on July 12 and 6:30 a.m. on July 13. The incident occurred in the 1700 block of Second Street, Highland Park, Illinois.

Police are investigating a delayed report of a burglary from motor vehicle. It was reported that between 7 p.m. on July 3 and  9 a.m. on July 14 an unlocked vehicle was entered. Taken was a  portable weather reporting station, a portable satellite radio, approximately 20 music CDs and a black case. The incident occurred in the 300 block of Bloom Street, Highland Park, Illinois.

Police are investigating a delayed report of a burglary from motor vehicle. It was reported that between 9 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. an unlocked vehicle parked a driveway was entered by an unknown subject and contents from the glove box were left on the front passenger seat. No items appeared to be missing. The incident occurred in the 300 block of Bloom Street, Highland Park, Illinois.

Driving under the influence

Michael Glicksberg, 23, of the 4000 block of Montrose Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper lane usage and no valid registration after being stopped by police near the intersection of Beverly Place and Park Avenue West, Highland Park. Glicksberg was released on a cash bond with a court date of July 27, 2012 at 18 North County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Gustavo Torres-Gomez, 29, of the 900 block of Deerfield Road, Highland Park, Illinois, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, open transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage and no valid drivers license after being stopped by police near the intersection of Laurel Avenue and Hickory Street, Highland Park. Torres-Gomez was released on a cash bond with a court date of August 10, 2012 at 18 North County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

William McKinnon, 18, of the 200 block of Leicester, Kenilworth, Illinois, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, open transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage after being stopped by police in the 1900 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park. McKinnon was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of August 10, 2012 at 18 North County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Tiffany Richter, 44, of the 1100 block of Beech Lane, Highland Park, Illinois, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage, driving the wrong way and expired drivers license after being stopped by police who responded to the report of a public complaint in the 2000 block of Green Bay Road, Highland Park. Richter was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of August 3, 2012 at 18 North County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Violation of order of protection

Richard Johnson, 47, of the 1700 block of Whitney Drive, Hanover Park, Illinois, was arrested and charged with violation of an order of protection. Johnson was transported to bond court at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois pending court date.

Criminal damage to property

Police are investigating a report of a criminal damage to property. It was reported unknown suspects drew in pencil graffiti in the upstairs fitness room and scratched graffiti in the paint in a downstairs men’s washroom. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of Park Avenue West, Highland Park, Illinois.

Police are investigating a report of a criminal damage to property. It was reported that a vehicle parked in a driveway had pink paint on the tailgate believed to have been from a paintball gun. The incident occurred in the 1000 block of Saxony Drive, Highland Park, Illinois.

Police are investigating a report of a criminal damage to property. It was reported that a vehicle parked in a driveway had been struck by three pink paintballs sometime after midnight. The incident occurred in the 200 block of Hastings Avenue, Highland Park, Illinois.

Police are investigating a report of a criminal damage to property. It was reported that pink paint, consistent from a paint ball gun, was seen on the exterior garage door, the wood molding of the house adjacent to the garage and the rear of a vehicle parked in a driveway. The incident occurred in the 1400 block of St. Johns Avenue, Highland Park, Illinois.

Theft

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft. It was reported that a mountain bicycle was stolen between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. from the south side of a business located in the 100 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park. The bike was secured to a tree trunk with a coded padlock.

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft. It was reported that sometime between 10 a.m. July 9 to 6 p.m. July 13 unknown subject(s) removed three ceramic potted plants and metal stand, two aluminum and crystal wind chimes, four colored hanging crystal stars, two wooden bird houses, three glass and iron decorative stakes and a wire and wooden decorative lighted frog yard ornament from the patio area of a residence in the 600 block of Old Trail, Highland Park, Illinois.

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft. It was reported that an iPhone 4S was accidentally left in a washroom stall at around 5 p.m. When it was discovered the reporting person returned back to the stall to discover it had been taken. Guest services checked but had no cell phone turned in. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of Fredricksons Place, Highland Park, Illinois.

Possession of cannabis

Damen Erf, 20, of the 1300 block of Sheridan Road, Highland Park, Illinois, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after police while on routine patrol encountered five individuals at a late hour on the bike path in the 100 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park. Erf was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of July 25, 2012 at 301 Greenleaf Street, Waukegan, Illinois.
