Police Blotter: Stolen Laptops, Desktops and Stereos

Theft

Carl K. Nabb was arrested and charged with theft in the 2300 block of Skokie Valley Road at 9:11 a.m. on Jan. 31. He was released on a Personal Recognizance Bond.

On Jan. 31 at 9:43 a.m., Renee L. Rozboril was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and disobeying a right turn only sign after being stopped by the police at 800 Central Avenue. He was released on a Recognizance Bond.

Andres Rodriguez-Gonzalez was arrested on Feb. 3 and charged with driving while license suspended and no registration after being stopped by the police in the 900 block of Central Avenue. He was released on a Cash Bond.

Ricardo Roman Osorio was arrested and charged with no valid driver’s license, speeding and driving while license suspended after being stopped by the police in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road. He was released on a Personal Recognizance Bond.

Burglary

Police are investigating a burglary report after glass was broken on a door sometime between Saturday Jan. 29 at 5 p.m. and Monday, Jan. 31 at 1:03 p.m. in the 400 block of Central Avenue in Highland Park. 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle

Police are investigating the report of criminal damage to a motor vehicle sometime between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. in the 1800 block of Green Bay Road.

Police are investigating the report of criminal damage to two motor vehicles that had a window smashed and stereo system removed sometime overnight between 10 p.m. on Jan 31 and 5 a.m. Feb. 1 in the 2700 block of St. Johns Avenue.

Burglary to a motor vehicle

Police are investigating the report of burglary to two motor vehicles that had clothing, a computer battery and a registration card disappear from sometime overnight between 6 p.m. on Jan. 31 and 5 a.m. on Feb. 1 in the 100 block of Central Avenue.

Police are investigating the report of burglary of a radio system from two motor vehicles sometime overnight between 11 p.m. on Jan. 31 and 5 a.m. on Feb. 1 in the 2700 block of St. Johns Avenue.

Police are investigating the report of burglary of a radio system from three motor vehicles sometime overnight between 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 31 and 5 a.m. on Feb. 1 in the 2700 block of St. Johns Avenue.

Police are investigating the report of burglary to a motor vehicle sometime overnight between 9:30 p.m. Feb. 5  and 8:30 a.m. Feb. 6 in the 300 block of Temple Avenue. The car has broken windows, and a missing AM/FM CD stereo and amplifier.

Police are investigating the report of burglary of two briefcases with paperwork from motor vehicles sometime between 10:30 p.m. and noon in the 2700 block of Roslyn Lane in Highland Park.

Residential burglary

Police are investigating the report of residential burglary of two laptop computers, one desktop computer and a computer docking station sometime between Jan. 29 at 4 a.m. and Feb. 3 at 11:23 p.m. in the 2900 block of Parkside Drive.

Police are also investigating the report of residential burglary of a laptop computer and desktop computer sometime between 9 a.m. and 8:45 p.m. in the 2300 block of Wood Path. 

Commercial burglary 

Slade Story was arrested and charged with burglary and retail theft for an incident reported in October 2010 in the 2500 block of Skokie Valley Road. He was transported to Bond Court. 

Criminal damage

Police are investigating the criminal damage report of graffiti sometime after 9 p.m. in the 200 block of Leonard Wood South. 

Driving under the influence

Robert E. Lee was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and uninsured vehicle after being stopped by the police in the 1800 block of Skokie Valley Road. He was released on a Personal Recognizance Bond.

Fabiel Hernandez was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, no valid drivers license and obstructing traffic after being stopped by the police at Elm Place and First Street. He was released on an I-Bond.
