Police Blotter: Swiped Wiper

Stolen car parts, DUIs and more in today's police report.

The following items are taken from the Highland Park Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Suspended driver's license

On Dec. 7, around 11:42 p.m., 32-year-old Jesse O'Connor was arrested and charged with disobeying a traffic light, uninsured motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license after being stopped by police. He was released on a personal recognizance bond.

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle

On Dec. 9, police investigated a delayed report of a damaged rear antenna, rear wiper arm and hood, police reported.  The damage occured sometime between 3p.m. and 6p.m. on Dec. 3.

Driving under the influence

On Dec. 10, around 12:10 a.m., 29-year-old Arlington Carter was arrested and charged with improper lane usage, speeding, driving with an expired driver's license and driving while under the influence after being stopped in the 2100 block of Skokie Valley Road, police reported.  He was released on a recognizance bond.

On Dec. 11, around 2:36 a.m., 25-year-old Phillip Burg was arrested and charged with improped lane usage and driving while under the influence after he was stopped in the 2200 block of Lake Cook Road, police reported.  He was released on a cash bond.

On Dec. 11, around 8:15 a.m., 22-year-old Gerardo Gonzalez-Castillo was arrested and charged with speeding, driving with a suspended license and driving under the influence, after being stopped at the corner of Clavey Road and Skokie Valley Road, police reported. He was released on a cash bond.

Criminal trespassing

On Dec. 2, around 9:02 a.m., 19-year-old Medina Francsisco was arrested and charged with criminal tresspassing in the 400 block of Vine Avenue, police reported.

Aggravated battery

On Dec. 10, around 8:20 a.m., 25-year-old Javier Osorio-Virella Thurman was arrested and charged with aggravated battery in the 1800 block of First Street, police reported. He was trasported to bond court.

Leaving the scene of a property damage accident

On Dec. 7, around 7:44 a.m., 32-year-old Gildardo Aguilar-Meza was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, driving without a valid license and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident, police reported.  He was released on a personal recognizance bond.
