Police Make DUI Arrest After Suspect Flees
The following arrest information was supplied by the Highland Park Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
DUI
Ronnie Nicholson, 27, of Waukegan was arrested Dec. 19 and charged with speeding, driving under the influence, aggravated driving under the influence with no valid driver’s license, aggravated fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, driving while license revoked and open transportation of alcohol after Nicholson fled from a traffic stop by police in the 2600 block of Skokie Valley Road, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was transported to Lake County Criminal Court in Waukegan for a bond hearing.

Commercial Burglary
Police are investigating a report of a commercial burglary. It was reported that sometime between 4:30p.m. Dec. 18 and 6:30 a.m. Dec. 19 construction tools and supplies were taken from a construction site in the 2300 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park. Construction lock boxes were found broken into or cut open and tools / supplies removed, according to Highland Park Police reports.

Theft
Police are investigating a report of a theft. It was reported that an unknown subject removed five packages from the front door step of a residence in the 1000 block of Wade Street around 2:50 p.m. Dec. 17, according to Highland Park Police reports.
