Police Make DUI Arrest Near Downtown
The following arrest information was supplied by the Highland Park Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
DUI
Mario Vazquez-Gonzalez, 44, of Highland Park was arrested Sept. 8 and charged with driving under the influence, open transportation of alcohol, uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane usage after being stopped by police near the intersection of Central Avenue and Deerfield Road, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court Sept. 27 in Waukegan.

Felix Alonso-Perez, 36, of Highland Park was arrested Sept. 8 and charged with driving while license revoked and no rear taillights illuminated after being stopped by police near the intersection of Central Avenue and Sunset Road, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court Sept. 25 in Park City.

Police are investigating a report of a burglary to motor vehicle between 9:30 10:30 a.m. Sept. 6, according to Highland Park Police reports. An unknown subject removed an 11x17 envelope from a green Ford Escape while parked in a lot in the 700 block of Park Avenue West. The vehicle was locked but the windows were left down approximately three inches.
