Police Make Four DUI Arrests in Week

The following arrest information was supplied by the Highland Park Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

DUI

Javier Cano-Osio, 31, of Highwood was arrested Thursday and charged with driving under the influence, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license suspended and no registration lamp illuminated after being stopped by police near the intersection of Green Bay Road and Chicago Avenue, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court on Dec. 27 in Waukegan.

Vanessa Banderas, 21, of Evanson was arrested Saturday and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and driving while license suspended after being stopped by police in the 800 block of Skokie Valley Road, according to Highland Park Police reports. She was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court on Dec. 19 in Waukegan.

Jeffrey Kolker, 48, of Northbrook was arrested Sunday and charged with driving under the influence and failure to yield at an intersection near Half Day Road and Western Avenue, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and. On Dec. 13, the Lake County State's Attorney's office entered an order declining to prosecute the case.

Rachel Gertzfeld, 23, of Highland Park was arrested Monday and charged with driving under the influence and no taillights illuminated after being stopped by police in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue West, according to Highland Park Police reports. She was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court on Dec. 27 in Waukegan.
