Police Make Two Drug Arrests With One Stop

The following arrest information was supplied by the Highland Park Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Possession of Cannabis

 

David Farino, 19, of Highland Park was arrested Dec. 19 and charged with possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and expired registration after being stopped by police near the intersection of First Street and Central Avenue, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was transported to bond court in Waukegan and a future court date is pending.

Michael Farino, 21, David Farino’s passenger, also Highland Park was arrested Dec. 19 and charged with possession of cannabis in the same occurrence, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court Jan. 23 in Waukegan.

Theft

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft. It was reported that sometime between August 17 and Dec. 19 two guitars, one Gibson and one Fender, went missing from inside a residence in the 2400 block of Tennyson Lane, according to Highland Park Police reports.

And Highland Park is a decaying city with plummeting property values and every business will be boycotted because of the assault weapons ban.

I have to say, the fact that every patch story has comments speaking about gun laws is very off putting. It makes sense where the story has something to do with gun rights... To those who support gun rights, I don't think you understand that its also very off putting to people who are philosophically on the fence. Many people don't like other's pet issues being shoved down their throat so rabidly.
