Police Shut Down Highland Park House of Prostitution

Highland Park residents charged with pimping and prostitution following an investigation Friday.

An anonymous tip to the Highland Park Police Department has resulted in the bust of a house of prostitution.

A joint investigation conducted by Highland Park Police and the Lake County Sheriff's Office concluded Friday with the arrest of Jose G. Lome-Rodriguez, 25,  and Berta A. Perez-Molina, 43, both of the 300 block of Temple Avenue, after a sheriff's detective was offered sex with the female for a fee, according to the sheriff's office.

Lome-Rodriguez was charged with two counts of pimping and two counts of holding a house of prostitution. He was released after posting 10 percent of a $3,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court July 29.

Perez-Molina was charged with two counts of prostitution. She was released after posting 10 percent of a $1,000 bond. Her court date is yet to be determined.
