September Crash Leads to DUI Arrest

The following arrest information was supplied by the Highland Park Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

DUI

Kevin Cordova, 19, of Round Lake Park was arrested Wednesday and charged with four counts of aggravated driving under the influence stemming from a traffic crash that occurred on September 1, 2013 in the 400 block of the Edens Expressway, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was transported to bond court and awaits a further court date.

Criminal Damage to Property

Police are investigating a report of criminal damage to property Oct. 21. Graffiti was located on rear garage off of Trillium Lane in the 2400 block of Green Bay Road, according to Highland Park Police reports.  Officers observed an 8' x 10' section sprayed in red paint.

Theft

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft. A gray Cannondale Trail bicycle was taken from a secure storage room in the 600 block of Elm Place, according to Highland Park Police reports. The bicycle was last seen on Oct. 13 noticed missing Oct. 19.

Driver’s License Infractions and More

Jason Douglas, 37, of Highland Park was arrested Oct. 22 and charged with driving while license cancelled and use of a wireless device while driving after being stopped by police near Central Avenue and Fredricksons Place, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court Nov. 13 in Park City.
