Burglary to motor vehicle

Police are investigating a report of a burglary to motor vehicles. It was reported sometime between 8:30 p.m. on August 21 and 6 a.m. on August 22, unknown persons entered an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway. Items taken were a GPS, an iPod and cash. One other car was parked in the driveway and was entered, but nothing was taken. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of Arbor Avenue, Highland Park.

Police are investigating a burglary to motor vehicle. Sometime between 2:30 p.m. on August 19 and the August 22, unknown persons entered an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway. The glove box and dash board compartment doors were found open, but nothing appeared missing from the vehicle. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of Arbor Avenue, Highland Park.

Police are investigating a report of a burglary to motor vehicle. It was reported sometime overnight on August 21, persons entered an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway. Nothing appeared missing from the vehicle. A second unlocked vehicle on the drive was entered overnight and a GPS was taken. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of Cavell Avenue, Highland Park.

Police are investigating a report of a burglary from motor vehicle. It was reported that sometime overnight on August 21, a vehicle was broken into and passenger side window broken with bricks. A purse containing digital camera, car diagnostic scanner, document scanner, cash and checkbook were taken. Also taken was a mountain bicycle from a storage shed in the backyard of the residence in the 1600 block of McCraren Road, Highland Park.

Police are investigating a report of a burglary to motor vehicle. It was reported sometime between 6 pm on August 19 and 12 p.m. on August 22, unknown persons entered an unlocked vehicle. Items taken were credit cards, cash and stamps. The incident occurred in the 1100 block of Taylor Avenue, Highland Park.

Police are investigating a burglary to motor vehicle. On August 22, unknown persons entered an unlocked parked vehicle. A purse was taken. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of Clavey Road, Highland Park.

Police are investigating a burglary to motor vehicle. Sometime between August 21, and August 22, unknown persons entered an open garage and an unlocked parked vehicle and removed a handbag which contained a wallet. The incident occurred in the 1500 block of Robin Hood Place, Highland Park.

Police are investigating a burglary to motor vehicle. Sometime overnight an unlocked truck, while parked in a driveway was entered into and US currency was taken from middle console. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of Taylor Avenue, Highland Park.

Theft

Police are investigating a report of a theft of a mountain bicycle taken sometime overnight on the reported date from a rear stairwell of a building in the 600 block of Park Avenue West, Highland Park.

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft in the 300 block of Flora Place, Highland Park. Two rings have turned up missing, a ladies wedding band and an eternity ring-white gold w/diamonds, sometime between March 21, 2012 and April 20, 2012.

Theft from motor vehicle

Police are investigating a theft from a motor vehicle. On August 22 at 1:45 pm, unknown persons entered and removed an iPhone from an unlocked vehicle. The incident occurred in the 2700 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park.

Driving under the influence

While police responded to a well being check, Eduardo Gonzalez-Sanchez, 37, of the 1700 block of Vermont Avenue, Blue Island was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving with a suspended license in the 0-100 block of Marquette Road, Highland Park. Gonzalez-Sanchez was released on a recognizance bond with a court date of September 28, 2012 at 18 North County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Laticia Dixon, 23, of the 500 block of Caroline Place, Waukean was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and driving while license suspended after being stopped in the 3300 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park. Dixon was released on a recognizance bond with a court date of September 28, 2012 at 18 North County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Mario Simon, 24, of the 300 block of Green Bay Road, Highwood was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, open transportation of alcohol, uninsured motor vehicle, interference with police, driving while license suspended and suspended registration after being stopped near the intersection of Applewood Court and Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park. Simon was released on a recognizance bond with a court date of September 28, 2012 at 18 North County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Kevin Chavez, 26, of the 2100 block of Georgetown, Waukegan was arrested and charged with improper lane usage, illegal turn, felony DUI 3+, felony DUI while suspended for DUI, felony driving while revoked, open transportation of alcohol and uninsured motor vehicle after being stopped by police in the 1100 block of Old Elm Road, Highland Park. Chavez was released on a recognizance bond with a court date of September 28, 2012 at 18 North County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Denise Pesina-Crimo, 38, of the 1500 block of McDaniels Avenue, Highland Park was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and use of an unsafe tire after being stopped by police in the 1400 block of Deerfield Road, Highland Park. Pesina-Crimo was released on a recognizance bond with a court date of September 14, 2012 at 18 North County Street, Waukegan, Illinois.

Possession of cannabis

Nicole Crane, 18, of the 1900 block of Southland Avenue, Highland Park, Aaron Wilson, 18, of the 100 block of S. Central Avenue, Highwood, Antonio LaPorte, 18, of the 300 block of Highwood Avenue, Highwood and Dylan Lonergan, 19, of the 5600 block of Carlyle, Chicago were cited after being stopped by Community Policing Aids near the intersection of Overlook Road and Grant Street. Crane was cited for possession of cannabis. Wilson, Laporte and Lonergan cited for consumption alcohol minor. All were given administrative court dates on September 20, 2012 at 3:00 PM at City Hall, 1707 St. Johns Avenue, Highland Park.

Disorderly conduct

Todd Schultheis, 51, of the 1400 block of E. Evergreen Drive, Palatine was arrested and charged with Interference with Public Officers in the 1800 block of Second Street, Highland Park. Schultheis was released on a recognizance bond with a court date of September 26, 2012 at 301 Greenleaf Street, Park City, Illinois.

Theft of services

Police are investigating a report of a theft of services in the 2600 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park. It was reported that five teenagers wearing black clothing and sports jerseys ran out of a restaurant failing to pay their bill of $38.74 and fled North on Skokie Valley Road in a black SUV type vehicle.

Criminal damage to vehicle

Police are investigating a report of a criminal damage to Vehicle in the 1600 block of Little John Avenue, Highland Park. It was reported that a vehicle had it’s windshield broken by an unknown object between 9:30 p.m. on August 25 and 10:30 a.m. on August 26 while parked on the East side of Cloverdale Avenue in the 1900 block. Object not recovered.

While police investigated a report of a criminal damage to vehicle in the 1600 block of Little John Avenue, Highland Park upon canvassing the neighborhood, it was reported that a vehicle was egged overnight while parked on the street in the 1900 block of Cloverdale Avenue. No suspects. No permanent damage noted to the vehicle.
