Driving under the influence

Daniel Muffitt, 38, of the 300 block of Oak Ridge Drive, Twin Lakes, Wisconsin was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and improper lane usage after police responded to the 300 block of the Edens Expressway, Highland Park on a report of a driving complaint.  Muffitt was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of October 26, 2012 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan.

Lakeisha Dean, 38, of the 600 block of Second Street, Waukegan was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving while license suspended, uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane usage after police responded to the intersection of Park Avenue West and Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park on a report of a driving complaint.  Dean was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of October 26, 2012 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan.

Theft

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft. It was reported 30 concrete 12 inch circle stepping stones were removed from the property sometime between June 1 to Sept. 26.  The stepping stones were stored/stacked on the side of the residence. The incident occurred in the 2200 block of Highmoor Road, Highland Park. 

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft. It was reported an ivory white Music Man Classic Deluxe 5 string bass guitar with a maple neck was taken from a business between Sept. 22 at 3 p.m. and Sept. 24 at 4 p.m.  The guitar was discovered missing after a weekly inventory check. The incident occurred in the 100 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park. 

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft. It was reported that sometime in early February, 2012, 22 items of gold jewelry were missing from a closet in the residence. The incident occurred in the 1500 block of Forest Avenue, Highland Park. 

Police are investigating a report of a theft. It was reported that a purse was taken from an unlocked locker.  Multiple items were taken including an unknown make cell phone. The incident occurred in the 100 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park. 

Residential burglary

Police are investigating a report of a residential burglary. It was reported unknown persons entered into a home during the night by climbing through an unlocked ground floor window and removed computer equipment. The incident occurred in the 500 block of Chicago Avenue, Highland Park. 

Theft from motor vehicle

Police are investigating a delayed report of theft from motor vehicle. It was reported that sometime in August a catalytic converter was removed from a work vehicle (1 van) while parked in the 3100 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park.
