Thief Steals 14 Fur Coats From Local Store
The following arrest information was supplied by the Highland Park Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Burglary
Police are investigating a commercial burglary which occurred at approximately 6:46 a,m. Jan. 17. Unknown person(s) forced entry into the Highland Park Fur Shop located in the 1800 block of Sheridan Road utilizing a hammer. Fourteen fur coats were taken.

Driver’s License Infractions and More
Aurelio Lopez-Garcia, 39, of Highland Park was arrested Jan. 17 and charged with driving while license suspended, uninsured motor vehicle and driving without headlights when required after being stopped by police near the intersection of Laurel Avenue and McGovern Avenue, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court on Feb. 5 in Park City.

Noe Vasquez-Sandoval, 28, of Highland Park was arrested Jan. 16 and charged with driving while license suspended, uninsured motor vehicle and headlight violation (only 1 illuminated) after being stopped by police near Green Bay Road and Detamble Avenue, according to Highland Park Police reports. Vasquez-Sandoval was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court on Feb. 5 in Park City.
