Thief Takes 3 New Tires, Leaves Old Ones

The following arrest information was supplied by the Highland Park Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Theft From Motor Vehicle

Police are investigating a report of a theft from motor vehicle. A vehicle was parked in the east lot of the Braeside Train Station located in the 0-100 block of St. Johns Avenue at 8:17 a.m. Nov. 12. Upon return at approximately 2:48 p.m., three new tires had been removed and replaced with old used tires. Each of the old used tires only had two lug nuts, according to Highland Park Police reports..

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft. Sometime after approximately 3:30 p.m. Nov. 8 unknown person(s) removed approximately 6,000 linear feet of copper wire. The incident occurred in the 1900 block of Skokie Valley Road, according to Highland Park Police reports.

Criminal Damage to Property

Police are investigating a delayed report of a criminal damage to property. Sometime between   2:30 p.m. Nov. 11 8 a.m. Nov. 12 an unknown person(s) damaged a shed by pushing the shed approximately 1 foot from its original location, denting in the two front doors, damaging a metal lock and breaking the plexiglass windows on the door.  The incident occurred in the 2000 block of St. Johns Avenue, according to Highland Park Police reports.

Driver’s License Infractions and more

Rodolfo Baltierra-Suarez, 23, of North Chicago was arrested Nov. 16 and charged with driving while license suspended, uninsured motor vehicle and expired registration after being stopped by police near the intersection of Green Bay Road and Homewood Avenue, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court on Dec. 18 in Park City.
