Thieves Burglarize Unlocked Jeep

The following arrest information was supplied by the Highland Park Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

 

Police are investigating a delayed report of a burglary to motor vehicle. It was reported that unknown person(s) entered an unlocked Jeep while parked in a driveway in the 1200 block of Lynn Terrace.  The incident occurred sometime between 5 p.m. Sept. 12 and 6:30 a.m. Sept. 13. Miscellaneous change was taken from the center console and a light green cotton jacket from the back seat.

Richard Olson, 39, of Shawano, WI, was arrested Sept. 16 and charged with driving under the influence, uninsured motor vehicle and speeding after being stopped by police in the 1400 block of Park Avenue West, according to Highland Park Police reports. Bell was released on bond is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court Oct. 4 in Waukegan.

 

Criminal Damage to Property

 

Police are investigating a report of criminal damage to property. It was reported Sept. 14 that graffiti black in color approximately 3'X3' tall was located at the base of the water tower located in the 100 block of Whistler Road. The graffiti appeared to be a heart, division sign and the letter "P," according to Highland Park Police reports.

Police are investigating a report of criminal damage to property. It was reported Sept. 15 that a second occurrence of graffiti in the form of a white spray painted heart was located on the east side of a car port in the 400 block of Laurel Avenue.
