Three Arrested for DUI in Highland Park Last Week

An 18-year-old was also charged with 10 counts of criminal damage to property for graffiti around town.

The following information is from the Highland Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Leslie Williams, 43, of Brown Deer, WI, was arrested at 12:30 a.m. April 18 and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and use of a wireless device while driving after being stopped by police in the 2600 block of Skokie Valley Road. Williams was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of May 23.

Mark Greenleaf, 59, of Rock Island, was arrested April 20 at 12:40 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence after police observed two subjects needing assistance in the roadway near a Jeep that was parked in the intersection of Elm Place and Sheridan Road. Greenleaf was released on a cash bond with a court date of May 23.

Scott Landvatter, 62, of Chicago, was arrested April 20 at 3:30 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and speeding after being stopped by police in the 100 block of the Edens Expressway. Landvatter was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of May 9.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO STATE SUPPORTED PROPERTY

Ryan Nedoss, 18, of Highland Park, was arrested April 19 at 4:30 p.m. and charged with 10 counts of criminal damage to property after being observed spray painting graffiti on the pedestrian overpass in the 1500 block of Old Deerfield Road, as well as multiple other structures within the City of Highland Park. Nedoss was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of May 7.

RETAIL THEFT

Bozena Swiatkowski, 62, of Highland Park, was arrested April 17 at 3 p.m. and charged with retail theft after police responded to a report of a shoplifter at a business in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road. Swiatkowski was issued a notice to appear with a court date of May 28.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

An officer conducting a premise check at Central Train Station in the 1700 block of St. Johns Avenue at 1:30 a.m. April 17 discovered graffiti on the walls and fixtures of the men's restroom. Investigation into the matter led to the arrest of a 15-year old juvenile from Highland Park.
