Criminal damage to property

Police are investigating a report of criminal damage to property. It was reported that wires were cut on holiday lights sometime between Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. in the 500 block of Barberry Road, Highland Park.

Possession of cannabis

Roberto Segura, 21, of the 3000 block of W. Wilson, Chicago was cited administratively for possession of cannabis after the vehicle Segura was a passenger in was stopped near the intersection of Central Avenue and St. Johns Avenue, Highland Park. Segura was cited and released with an administrative court date of January 17, 2013 at City Hall, 1707 St. Johns Avenue, Highland Park.

Theft under $500

Police are investigating a report of theft. A black iPhone 5 and Visa credit card were taken from the window ledge on the wall of the basketball court room at a business located in the 100 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park.

While police were investigating the iPhone theft, a second white iPhone was found taken from the window ledge on the wall of the basketball court room at a business located in the 100 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park. 

Battery

Police are investigating a report of a battery. It was reported that while attending a birthday party in the 900 block of Deerfield Road, Highland Park, an unknown male punched another male in the face. The offender then left the scene.
