Two Men Rob Marriott Hotel At Gunpoint

Two suspects walked into the Highland Park hotel's lobby on Sunday night, flashed a gun and robbed the front desk before fleeing.

Two men robbed the Marriott Courtyard Hotel at gunpoint on Sunday night, according to the Highland Park Police Department.

Police received a 911 call on Sunday, at around 8:45 p.m. in which the caller hung-up. The call came from the Marriott Courtyard Hotel, 1505 Lake Cook Road, adjacent to Skokie Valley Highway (Route 41).

When officers arrived at the scene they were informed that an armed robbery had just taken place, a news release from the department reports. The suspects walked into the hotel, went to the front desk and displayed a handgun. They demanded cash from the clerk. They fled out the front door of the lobby. There were no reported injuries.

The two suspects were described as follows: 

Suspect #1: Male/African American, 6 ft. 170 lbs. braided shoulder length hair, last seen wearing a white ball cap, blue short sleeved shirt with white stripes and blue jeans

Suspect #2: Male/African American, 5 ft. 6 in., 165 lbs., short hair, clean shaven, green cap, green hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans
