Two Teens Charged with Residential Burglaries

In a separate incident, a man was arrested for refusing to leave the lobby of a business.

The following information is from the Highland Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt. 

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Robin Piper, 49, of Deerfield, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after police responded to a public complaint of a subject who refused to leave the lobby of a business in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road at 10:30 a.m. April 21. Piper was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of May 6.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Ethan Goldsmith, 22, of Highland Park, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and disobeying a stop sign after being stopped by police in the 600 block of Burton Avenue at 8:30 p.m. April 21. Goldsmith was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of May 28.

Edgar Meraz, 23, of Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended, uninsured motor vehicle and failure to signal while changing lanes after being stopped by police in the 700 block of Central Avenue at 8:45 p.m April 21. Meraz was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of May 14.

Juliana Sheehan, 26, of Lake Bluff, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and improper lane usage after being stopped by police in the 3300 block of Skokie Valley Road at 10:45 p.m. April 24. Sheehan was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of May 14.

Victor Rios-Romero, 25, of North Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended, uninsured motor vehicle and Scott’s Law (failure to yield 1 lane for emergency vehicle) after being stopped by police near Applewood Court and Skokie Valley Roadat 2:30 a.m. April 26. Rios-Romero was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of May 28.

Luis Uribe, 25, of Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and improper lane usage after being stopped by police in the 3300 block of Skokie Valley Road at 4:30 a.m. April 26. Uribe was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of May 14.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

John Boone, 19, of Highwood, was arrested on a Highland Park Police warrant April 23 and charged with 4 Counts of Residential Burglary (Class 1 Felonies), 6 Counts of Theft (Class 3 felonies) and 1 Count of Criminal Damage to Property (Class 4 felony). The charges stem from the reports of 4 residential burglaries that occurred during the month of March. Boone was transported to bond court in Waukegan where he was remanded to the custody of the Lake County Jail.  

Cameron Goodwin, 18, of Highwood, was served while in custody at the Lake County Jail with a Highland Park Warrant. Goodwin was charged with 3 Counts of Residential Burglary (Class 1 Felonies), 4 Counts of Theft (Class 3 felonies) and 1 Count of Criminal Damage to Property (Class 4 felony).
