Violin Stolen from Minivan in Highland Park

Domestic battery

Samuel Jackson (31) of the 1100 block of Miller Lane, Buffalo Grove was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery after turning himself in on a warrant.  Jackson was processed and transported to bond court at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan pending court date. 

Recardo Johnson (32) of the 7500 block of S. Blackstone, Chicago was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, open transportation of alcohol, speeding and driving while license suspended after being stopped by police in the 1900 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park.  Johnson was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of July 12, 2013 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois. 

Cleathe Palmer (47) of the 400 block of Hull Court, Waukegan was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, open transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage after being stopped by police in the 3200 block of Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park.  Palmer was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of July 12, 2013 at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois. 

Theft

Police are investigating a delayed report of a theft. It was reported that a red Trek bicycle which was reportedly locked was stolen sometime between 11:00am on 6/1/13 and 8:00am on 6/2/13. The incident occurred in the 1700 block of St. Johns Avenue, Highland Park. 

Police are investigating a report of a theft. It was reported that an unsecured paddle boat was taken sometime overnight. The incident occurred in the 200 block of Lakewood Place, Highland Park. 

Burglary from motor vehicle

Police are investigating a delayed report of a burglary from motor vehicle. It was reported that an unlocked Chrysler minivan was entered sometime between 6/11/13 at 10:00pm and 6/12/13 at noon.  A bag of clothes was found dumped on St. Johns Avenue and a violin was taken from the front seat. The incident occurred in the 200 block of Moraine Road, Highland Park. 

Criminal damage to property

Police are investigating a report of a criminal damage to property. It was reported that unknown person(s) threw sparklers and a smoke bomb thru the vented door of the apartment building laundry room door sometime overnight in the 1900 block of Green Bay Road, Highland Park.

Retail theft

Police are investigating a report of a retail theft. It was reported that an unknown subject exited a business in the 1500 block of Clavey Road carrying a red plastic basket filled with items that were not paid for. The items taken and the value are unknown.
