Less than a week remains to register to vote in the April 5 election.

Grace period registration for the April 5 Consolidated Election is available only at the County Clerk's office, 18 N. County St., Waukegan through close of business on Tuesday, March 29. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Grace period registration permits Lake County residents to register or update their voter registration address at the Clerk's office after voter registration closes.

Those who take advantage of grace period registration may vote only at the Clerk's office. New registrants must be U.S. citizens, residents of their precinct for 30 days immediately prior to Election Day, 18 years-old on or before the election and must provide two forms of identification.
