Knobel, Kaufman, Stone Win City Council Race
With all precincts reporting and all early votes accounted for, here's who's won spots on the City Council, the Park Board and District 112 School Board in Highland Park.
Update 10:30 p.m.: City Council-elects Alyssa Knobel and Kim Stone spoke to Patch about their wins.
"It is a sincere honor to be elected to serve as a councilman in our city," she said. "I am ready to get to work in a new role at City Hall."
Stone said she is looking forward to working with the City Council members, both current and soon to be inaugurated.

"We all have complimentary skills," she said. "I think it's going to be a really nice group to work with."
Update 8:50 p.m.: Early votes are in. Alyssa Knobel, Dan Kaufman and Kim Stone have won spots on the City Council.

Cal Bernstein and Barnett Ruttenberg have won spots on the Park Board.
Jane Solmor-Mordini, Samantha Stolberg, Howard Metz and Karla Livney have won spots on the District 112 Board.

Earlier: Tuesday is election day in Highland Park.
Five people are running to fill three seats on the Highland Park City Council. Three people are running to fill two spots on the Park District Board. Six people are running for four spots on the North Shore School District 112 Board.
