Highland Park Extends Contract with Redflex but Plans to Solicit New Bids

Highland Park city council members voted Monday to extend its contract with Redflex for its automated red light photo enforcement program despite allegations that the company won its Chicago contract by bribery, reported the Chicago Tribune.

Highland Park's contract with Redflex, set to expire July 14, will be extended on a monthly basis as the police department solicits bids from other companies, according to the Tribune.
