Highland Park Theater Could Become Condos, Retail

A five- to six-story building could replace the historic theater.

The real estate agent marketing the Highland Park Theater says the space could be turned into a five- to six-story condo building with retail space on the ground floor, according to an article in TribLocal.

Last week the city announced that it had chosen @Properties to market the shuttered theater on Central Avenue. It’s been closed since 2012 for life safety reasons.

Michael Levin, the agent who will be marketing the property, told TribLocal that early indications are that the city would like to see the condo-retail building in that space.
