Park District Seeks Resident Input on 10-Year Plan

The Park District of Highland Park wants residents' suggestions for GreenPrint 2024, a master park plan.

Highland Park residents are invited to attend a community input session from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 at the Highland Park Country Club to offer thoughts and suggestions on the development of the park district’s 10-year master plan, GreenPrint 2024: A Community Vision for the Park District of Highland Park.

The public forum is being facilitated by The Lakota Group, a team of consultants contracted by the park district to aid in the development of the plan.

The master planning process has been organized into four phases: Engage, Analyze, Envision, and Confirm. The first phase, Engage, focuses on facilitating community conversations and resident input.

The upcoming forum is the second opportunity for residents to share their opinions using casual interactive stations. Raffles and refreshments will be provided and families are encouraged to attend.

Suggestions and comments can also be shared by e-mailing plan4pdhp@pdhp.org, visiting the GreenPrint 2024 Facebook, page, Twitter and at www.plan4pdhp.com.

Questions can be directed to Mary Gardocki, Associate Project Manager, at (847) 579-4081 or mgardocki@pdhp.org.
