Public Gets Its Say on City Budget

Highland Park City Council will hold a public hearing on the 2014 budget.

A 2014 budget which does not need a tax increase to balance it will get a public hearing when the Highland Park City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall.

Members of the public who want to express their opinion on the way the City is spending taxpayer money will have their opportunity. A public hearing is a legal requirement.

The Council has a number of other items on its agenda which are set for a vote without discussion unless one of the members requests debate during the meeting. The complete agenda can be found on the City’s website.
