Schneider Raises Nearly $385,000 for Reelection

Deerfield Congressman reports over $500,000 in bank.

Rep. Brad Schneider (D-Deerfield) reported raising $384,440.39 for his reelection effort for the quarter ending June 30, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) Monday.

Schneider can expect a competitive race to keep his seat n 2014 from former Rep. Robert Dold (R-Kenilworth), who announced his candidacy in May and said last week he had raised more than $540,000 for the quarter. The precise number was $546,164.00, according to the FEC report.

After collecting approximately $390,000 for the quarter ending March 31, Schneider now has $531,166.16 cash on hand, according to the FEC report. Dold reported he has $615,772.77 in the bank.

According to the FEC report, Schneider collected $262,931.14 from individuals and $121,395.41 from committees. Schneider took in 30 percent of his donations from first time political contributors, according to a release from the Schneider campaign.

Most of Dold’s money came from individuals, according to the report. He received $508,164.00 from people and another $37,000 from committees.
