Former Chicago Bear Sells Highland Park Home

Gabe Carimi made a handsome profit after renovating home purchased in 2012.

Former Chicago Bear offensive tackle Gabe Carimi sold the Highland Park home he bought and renovated last year, according to Coldwell Banker Residential agent Maxine Goldberg.

After paying $525,000 for the 3,300 square foot home, Carimi thoroughly renovated the house redoing the bathrooms and kitchen while installing a home theater, according to a story in the Chicago Tribune. He then sold it for $942,500 after originally listing it for $1.2 million.

Originally built in 1970, the house, with an open floor plan, has a great room with a marble fireplace and a custom wet bar as well as the theater and a bedroom on the lower level, according to the Tribune article. The home sits on an acre lot with a pool.
