Lake Bluff Had Lake Co.'s Priciest 2013 Home Sale

Chicago Magazine put together a list of the most expensive homes sold in the area by county last year.

Multi-million home sales in the Chicago area have rebounded, according to Chicago Magazine, with 33 percent more sales in 2013 than in 2012.

Lake County’s priciest home sale last year was in Lake Bluff for $5.3 million. According to the magazine: “Former Hollywood starlet Jana Wacker owned this 10-acre Lake Bluff spread for nearly 40 years. Put on the market after her August death, it sold in less than a week.”

In Cook Co., the biggest 2013 sale was the 15,000-square-foot Winnetka mansion sold to Dmitry Godin, the CEO of Interbank Mortgage, for $12.7 million, the article says. You can click through to see a few pictures of the 17-room French Colonial.
