District 112 Closes Most Schools Tuesday
Classes canceled everywhere but Oak Terrace and Green Bay Road because of heat and humidity.
A forecast of hot, humid weather has prompted North Shore School District 112 officials to cancel school Tuesday for all schools except Oak Terrace and Green Bay Road, according to an email from the District office.
Oak Terrace and Green Bay Road will remain open because they are air conditioned. After school activities at both Oak Terrace and Green Bay are cancelled today and Tuesday, according to a separate email.
The Firehouse will offer programming starting at 9 .m. Tuesday for all middle school students who are members. Parents of non-members may register their children upon arrival Tuesday.

The day will be made up at the end of the school year.
