District 113 Superintendent: 'Our Hearts Go Out to Colin's Family'

The letter below comes from District 113 Superintendent George Fornero.

As many of you may already know, a homicide investigation is underway regarding the death of HPHS 2011 graduate Colin Nutter. Colin's body was discovered in Wilmette earlier this week.

Our hearts go out to Colin's family. This is an unconscionable tragedy and we realize that no words can heal the pain of their loss.

This morning, two HPHS students were charged in connection to Colin's death.

Should the police investigation require District 113's cooperation, we fully intend to provide any information or support we can.

We know that some of our students are impacted by the loss and news about arrests. While students are no longer in school, our counselors will still make themselves available, please encourage your children to reach out to them if they are struggling. The counseling phone number is 224-765-2052.

George V. Fornero
Superintendent
Township High School District 113
