Cancer Risk Assessment and Prevention
Dr. Olufunmilayo Olopade, Professor of Medicine and Associate Dean for Global Health at the University of Chicago, will speak at the Adlai E. Stevenson II Historic Home Sunday, Mar. 11 at 2 pm as a part of the on-going series, Dialogues in Democracy sponsored by the Stevenson Center on Democracy.
As a physician and scientist, Dr. Olopade works to translate discoveries into optimal interventions for women at risk of breast cancer. Her research has focused on understanding familial forms of cancer.
In 2005 she was awarded a MacArthur Foundation Genius Award for "bridging continents with her innovative research and service models."
