False Confessions: Do THey Happen?

Juan Rivera, Jed Stone, and Rob Warden will participate in a panel discussion titled, "False Confessions: Do They Happen? How? Why?" at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 15,
2012 at the Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel at Lake Forest College.

Juan Rivera is a former inmate who was convicted on the basis of a false confession. He was recently released after 19 years in prison when the Appellate Court overturned his 1993 rape and murder conviction of 11-year-old Holly Staker. Jed Stone is a criminal defense attorney and Rob Warden is the Executive Director of the Center on
Wrongful Convictions at Northwestern University School of Law.
