Washington's Finger in Your Local Schools?

Do you want Washington’s finger in your local schools? The
federal government already is involved in our local school systems. But what exactly is its involvement? If the federal government decides to come up with a common set of core standards, what would they be? How will they be funded? How will mandates affect our local schools?

The Leagues of Women Voters of Deerfield, Highland
Park/Highwood, and Lake Forest/Lake Bluff will be presenting a forum to discuss the federal government’s role in public education. The panel discussion will address the above questions.
